Lustre Drops Contests Against Mavericks

Lustre Christian dropped both basketball games against North Country on Friday, Feb. 12.

In girls’ basketball action, North Country scored a 65-14 victory. The Mavericks led 25-6 at the end of the first quarter and 40-6 at the half.

Alexa Reddig led the Lions with eight points. Also scoring were Aubri Holzrichter with four, Grace Brown with one and Tiara Whitmus with one.

Leading North Country were Kia Wasson with 13 and Kaitlyn McColly with 11 points.

North Country’s boys edged Lustre, 51-43. The Mavericks held a 24-18 half-time lead, but Lustre battled back to 31-30 in the third quarter.

North Country then tallied 20 points in the fourth quarter for the victory.
