Plentywood Girls Edge Froid/Lake

Plentywood’s girls’ basketball team won the District 2C regular-season title by nipping Froid/Lake, 37-33, at home on Friday, Feb. 12.

After a 9-9 deadlock at the end of the first quarter, Plentywood held a 16-13 halftime advantage.

The Wildcats led 26-21 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

Sydney Dethman led the Red Hawks with 14 points. Dasani Nesbit and Carolyne Christoffersen each added seven points. Also scoring were Baylee Davidson with three and Meg Ator with two.

Liv Wangerin accounted for 25 of Plentywood’s points.
