Frazer Girls Lose Out At District Tourney

Frazer’s girls’ basketball team dropped two games at the District 3C basketball tournament.

The Bearcubs lost to Dodson, 65-28, on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Dodson took a 27-10 lead in the first quarter and led 49-18 at the half.

Audrey Smoker scored 14 of Frazer’s points. Also scoring were Angeline White with four, Justine Smoker with three and Evelyn Yellowhammer with two.

Leading Dodson were Lindsey Kills Eagle with 25 and Christina Fetter with 22.

The Bearcubs lost to Lustre Christian, 60-21, on Friday, Feb. 19.

Lustre took a 17-5 lead in the first quarter and increased the margin to 38-13 at the half.

Aubri Holzrichter accounted for 25 of Lustre’s points. Tiara Whitmus scored 12 Alexa Reddig added 10 points.

Also scoring for the Lions were Grace Brown with eight and Ashley O’Hara with five points.

Top scorers for Frazer were Bailey Beston with seven and Angel Nelligan with six.

Also scoring were Audrey Smoker with four, Angeline White with three and Justine Smoker with one.
