Lustre Girls Stop Nashua, 49-46

Lustre’s girls’ basketball team accounted for 28 points in the fourth quarter to nip Nashua, 49-46, in the first round of the District 3C tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

The Lions trailed by a 36-21 margin entering the final quarter.

Alexa Reddig led the Lions with 24 points. Aubri Holzrichter finished with 10 points. Also scoring were Grace Brown with six and Tiara Whitmus with three.

Top scorers for Nashua were Alyssa Murdock with 11, Devin Fromdahl with nine and Tia Dees with nine points.

Nashua led 9-7 after the first quarter and 20-15 at the half.

The Lions fell to North Country, 62-26, on Thursday, Feb. 18.

North Country jumped out to a 28-5 lead in the first quarter. The Mavericks led 46-8 at the half.

Top scorers for the Lions were Aubri Holzrichter with nine, Alexa Reddig with eight and Tiara Whitmus with eight. Grace Brown added a point.

Kaitlyn McColly scored 19 and Jaycee Erickson added 11 points for North Country.
