Red Hawks Down Brockton In Tourney

Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball squad opened its district tournament play with a 62-19 victory over Brockton on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

The Red Hawks exploded for 21 points in the first quarter to gain a 21-2 advantage. Bode Miller accounted for eight points including two three-pointers in the quarter. Tyler Wivholm added two three-pointers.

Froid/Lake enjoyed a 39-4 half-time lead. Mason Dethman tallied six points in the second period.

The Red Hawks added 17 points in the third quarter for a 56-14 margin.

Colt Miller and B. Miller scored 11 points each to lead the Red Hawks. Wivholm finished with 10 points.

Also scoring were Walker Ator with nine, Dethman with six, Javonne Nesbit with six, Brett Stentoft with three, Issac Johnson with two, Caden Kelm with two and Ashdyn Hobbs with two.

Scoring for Brockton were Malcom Yellow Hammer with 12, Wambidi Yellow Hammer with five and Allen Russell with two.
