The standout athlete serves as president of the school’s Business Professionals of America program.
“BPA is a lot of fun,” Miller said. “I made a lot of friendships.”
Miller qualified for the state BPA conference by earning fourth in the spreadsheets competition at the district level.
He explained that skills such as interview and public presentations will help him throughout his life.
Other school activities for Miller have included FFA and Explore America.
As far as sports, Miller earned All-State honors as the Red Hawks won the six-man state championship.
“Winning the state championship is probably that most memorable thing that has happened to me so far,” Miller said.
The All-State performer will attend Dickinson State University and play football. He noted there’s a bunch of his friends who are going to Dickinson and he was impressed with the campus.
“It’s a good fit,” Miller said.
He will study farm and ranch management at Dickinson. He plan is to return to the area after graduating.
“I plan to come back and help my dad farm and help at Miller Oil,” he said.
