Essay Contest Announced For Culbertson, Froid
The Robert and Ruth Nyquist annual essay contest, funded by the Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Foundation, is being conducted.
This year’s topic is “What do you think your generation is going to do for the world?” The contest is for students in grades 8-12 who attend school in Culbertson or Froid. Deadline is April 1, to the Culbertson or Froid public library.
There will be one $250 first-place prize and one $150 second-place prize for each community.
Submissions should be a well-written personal essay, researched essay or opinion piece. This may include research from published sources or interviews, both of which must be footnoted. Submissions should be 500 to 1,000 words typed double- spaced with an introduction, body paragraphs and conclusions.
