Chamber Agrees To Elks Event Center Sponsorship

The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture approved providing a sponsorship amount to support the Elks Event Center.

“We have to support the Elks,” director Jerald Peterson said. “If we are going to have anything going on, we need it.”

Trustee Jan Bryan added, “We’re the chamber and the town needs the facility.”

A motion was made for a $1,000 sponsorship and the motion passed unanimously.

Scott Keen and Dan Hutchinson were approved as new directors.

Brewfest was scheduled for Saturday, June 19. The band for the celebration is yet to be determined.

Board chair Jeff Presser said currently the chamber has 49 members this year. He thanked volunteers and those who donated food for the basketball tournaments.

A list of businesses was reviewed to provide First Dollar certificates. It was agreed to give new businesses a welcoming letter and chamber information. New businesses will receive free chamber membership until January.
