FWP Seeks Memberships For Upland Bird Council
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking nominations for individuals interested in serving on a council that monitors activities and makes recommendations for the state’s Upland Game Bird Enhancement Program.
Council membership is representative of all seven FWP administrative regions and upland game bird-related interests, including upland game bird hunters; local chambers of commerce; conservation interests; upland game bird biologists; landowners, including Block Management cooperators; and a state senator and representative from different political parties.
Council members will be appointed for two- or fouryear terms by FWP Director Hank Worsech.
Meetings are scheduled minimally twice a year, in the spring and fall.
Interested persons may apply using the online application form available at fwp.mt.gov. Click “Upland Game Bird Enhancement Program Advisory Council” and follow the directions. The council is scheduled to meet March 29 and Sept. 13 and 14.
