Larocque Sentenced For Negligent Endangerment Larocque Sentenced For Negligent Endangerment

Lyle Patrick Larocque Jr., 32, was sentenced for negligent endangerment during a district court hearing on Wednesday, March 10.

Maximum penalty for the offense is one year in the county jail, a $1,000 fine or both.

The charge was a reduction to the original criminal endangerment charge.

Larocque originally faced the charge of strangulation of a partner or family member, but county attorney Frank A. Piocos said charges were dropped because of no cooperation from out-of-state witnesses.

Larocque told the court that he was driving back to North Dakota and had an argument with his girlfriend. He got mad and jerked the steering wheel.

District Judge David Cybulski sentenced Larocque to a one-year suspended sentence and fined him $500.
