Sen. Susan Webber, D-Browning, introduces House Bills 35 and 36 to members of the Montana Senate on Wednesday, March 17. The bills are efforts to combat the missing and murdered Indigenous persons crisis and would establish a missing persons review commission and a grant program to provide training for missing persons response teams. The Senate advanced both bills, which could soon reach Gov. Gianforte’s desk for a signature.
