Police Respond To Broken Window Incidents

After businesses in Wolf Point experienced a series of broken windows last week, law enforcement has identified juvenile suspects for the offenses.
“We had a rash of broken windows for about a week,” Wolf Point’s chief of police Jeff Harada said.
The incidents included four windows being broken with rocks at a laundromat and two windows being broken on an used vehicle in the Ford garage.
On Thursday night, March 25, there were four windows broken at Albertson’s grocery store, a window broken at the welfare office near the post office and a broken window at an accounting office.
“Unfortunately, we get one of these rashes each spring,” Harada said.
The juvenile suspects have been identified and arrest summons/warrants have been made for them with the Fort Peck Tribal juvenile system.
Harada urges the public to report anything that they see, hear or smell that could be illegal.
“We would rather have many reports instead of not hearing about it,” Harada said. “We ask the community to assist us.”
