Culbertson Places In Events During Wibaux Invitational

The Culbertson girls placed 11th and the Culbertson boys took 14th place in the team standings during the Wibaux Invitational held in Glendive on Saturday, April 10.

High jump was the strong event for Culbertson’s girls during the meet as three girls placed in the top four.

Abbey Granbois, a senior, cleared 5-0 for top honors. Megan Granbois, a sophomore, also cleared 10-0 for second place.

Makena Hauge, a sophomore, cleared 4-10 for fourth.

Other highlights for the Cowgirls including Kayli Olson finishing seventh in the 800 and ninth in the 1600, Hauge taking 11th in the long jump, and A. Granbois taking 10th in the 100.

Culbertson’s girls’ 400-meter relay team took seventh and the 1600-meter relay team finished eighth.

On the boys’ side, Justice Bengochea placed fourth with a best of 40-09 in the shot put.

Other highlights for the Cowboys included Aiden Perkins taking ninth in the discus and Colby Olson taking 10th in the high jump. Culbertson will compete at the Fairview Invitational on Friday, April 16.
