Dollars Raised, Rain Falls At Spring Fling
Joy Owens with Bainville Dollars for Scholars said this year’s Spring Fling event at the Bainville Firehall grossed approximately $6,500 all together with ticket sales and auction items. Sixty-seven diners attended the evening meal. Owens said Bainville firefighters were happy to see some rain at the end of the evening after fighting area fires for three days.
Gettin’ Outta Dodge from Williston, N.D., entertained guests and additional music was provided by In It To Winn It DJ Service. The buffet was provided by The Eleven Restaurant.
Bainville Dollars for Scholars is a program of Scholarship America. The nonprofit organization is dedicated raising funds for area students. Board members include Lindsay Win, Stacy Hyatt, Sarea Harmon, Joy Owens, Jessica Berwick and Billie Pippinger.
