Track Athletes Place At Junior High Meet
Junior high athletes from Bainville, Culbertson and Froid/Lake were among the participants at the 18-school track meet in Wolf Point on Friday, April 9.
Bainville placed third for seventh-grade girls, 14th for eighth-grade girls and 15th for seventh-grade boys.
Hailey Berwick finished first in the 400, second in the 100 and second in the 200 to lead Bainville’s seventh-grade girls. She also took first in the high jump.
Lila Butikofer earned first in the discus for Bainville’s eighth-grade girls.
For Bainville’s eighth-grade girls, Miah Pippenger took second in the shot put.
Bainville’s Brodey Triana placed fifth in the long jump for seventh-grade boys.
Culbertson placed fourth for eighth-grade boys, 17th for seventh-grade girls and 12th for seventh-grade boys.
Bridger Salvevold took first in the 400 and second in the long jump for eighth-grade boys. Reese Moon earned third in the long jump and was second in the 100.
The eighth-grade boys’ 1600-meter relay team of Trevor Miller, Henry Colvin, Moon and Salvevold placed second.
Kaden Featherston took sixth in the shot put for seventh- grade boys. Josh Firemoon finished fifth in the 200. Ian Snyder placed fourth in the 100.
Ayden Ator earned fifth in the discus for seventh-grade girls.
Froid/Lake placed 10th for eighth-grade boys, 14th for seventh-grade boys, 15th for seventh-grade girls and 16th for eighth-grade girls.
Joe Robertson took second in the 800, third in the 400 and third in the 200 for eighth-grade boys.
The eighth-grade boys’ 400-meter relay team of Roberto Orozco, Jacob Martensen, Trent Williams and Robinson finished fifth.
Mara Salvevold finished sixth in the 100 for eighthgrade girls. Lille Barrick took sixth in the 100 for seventh- grade girls. Sam Heller placed third in the long jump for seventh-grade girls.
