Wolf Point School District Cancels Trustee Election

The Wolf Point School District has canceled its trustee election because the number of candidates is equal to the number of positions to be elected. Therefore, the trustee election is not necessary.

Filing for the two three-year terms were Lawrence Hamilton Jr. for District 3 and Elizabeth DeCoteau Lingle for District 4.

School officials have announced a resolution of intent to increase non-voted levies to support its budget.

In the elementary district, the estimated annual tax impact for a $100,000 home will be $3.15. The estimated annual tax impact for a $200,000 home will be $6.30.

In the high school district, the estimated annual tax impact for a $100,000 home will be $1.62. The estimated annual tax impact for a $200,000 home will be $3.24.

These estimates are based on the district’s best estimates at the current time. If the district’s taxable value increases, the mill and taxpayer cost increases will be less than these figures.
