Froid/Lake Takes Third At Meet
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored 75 points to earn third place at the Savage Invitational on Wednesday, April 21.
The top two teams were Richey/Lambert and Plentywood.
Max Engelke, a sophomore, finished first in the 400 with a time of 57.60 seconds.
Mason Dethman enjoyed a strong meet by taking second in the 100 (12.25), second in the 300-meter hurdles (48.27), second in the long jump (18-6) and second in the triple jump (39-5).
Colt Miller, a senior, placed second in the shot put with a best of 40-08.
Javonne Nesbit earned third in the triple jump with a mark of 36-01. He took fourth in the 400 at 60.35.
Daniel Forizs finished fourth in the 200 at 26.39. Nate Stentoft placed fifth in the 800 at 2:31.19.
Engelke took sixth in the 200 with a time of 26.79 seconds.
The 400-meter relay team of Caden Kelm, Bode Miller, Brett Stentoft and C. Miller finished fifth at 51.11 seconds.
The Red Hawks took seventh in the girls’ team standings with 31 points. Plentywood won the meet with 123.5 points.
Carolyne Christoffersen placed second in the shot put at 32-07 and second in the javelin at 89-04.
Makaylee Elvsaas earned second place in the discus at 88-11.
Missouri Kalal took third in the javelin at 84-07 and sixth in the 400 at 1.17.72.
