Wolf Point’s boys took second and the Lady Wolves placed sixth in the team standings during the Northeast Montana Invitational held at the Wolf Point track on Tuesday April 20. Scobey conducted the meet.

Scobey earned first place in both team divisions.

Leading Wolf Point’s boys were first-place performances by Austin Wilson, Zander Ackerman and August Spotted Wolf.

Wilson finished first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.15 seconds. Ackerman earned first in the 3200 with a time of 10:20.32. Spotted Wolf ran the 800 in 2:18.09 for top honors.

Relays were a strong point for the Wolves. Wolf Point’s boys 400-meter relay team consisting of Maddox Reum, Kaholo Toves, Corey Martell and Austin Wilson finished first in 48.23 seconds. The 1600-meter relay team of Toves, Wilson, Ackerman and Kholby Spotted Wolf earned first at 3:44.84.

Peyton Summers, a freshman, placed second in the 3200 at 10:41.35. K. Spotted Wolf took third at 10:44.32 and Ethan Blount was fourth at 10:52.48.

Garfield placed second in the shot put with a mark of 39-09.5 and second in the discus at 106-7.

Toves earned third in the long jump with a mark of 1709. Cale Jensen placed fifth in the long jump with a best of 16-07.

Wilson finished third in the 200 with a time of 25.01 seconds. Toves placed fourth at 25.39 seconds and Reum took sixth at 26.57 seconds.

The 400-meter relay team of Mason Garfield, Charles Page, Cale Jensen and Lennox Lilley took fourth in 55.11 seconds.

Devon Yellowrobe placed sixth in the discus with a mark of 86-0.

Katelyn MacDonald put together a solid day for Wolf Point’s girls. The sophomore placed third in the shot put with a mark of 29-09. She took third in the javelin with a best of 94-07. MacDonald cleared 7-0 in the pole vault for third place.

Hamyanie Campbell, a junior, ran the 3200 in 13:24.64 for third place.

Josie Kolstad placed fourth in the long jump with a best of 12-9. Kylie Rodenberg took fifth in the long jump at 124. Azalea Ackerman placed sixth in the long jump at 11-11.

Joli Beston placed sixth in the 1600 with a time of 6:40.48.

Wolf Point’s girls’ 400-meter relay team featuring Mac-Donald, Rodenberg, Kolstad and Campbell finished second in 56.92 seconds.
