Area Athletes Place During Top 10 Track Meet Action
Culbertson’s Abbey Granbois cleared 5-2 in the high jump to earn first place at the Top 10 track meet held in Glasgow on Tuesday, May 4.
Granbois, a senior, explained her best height this year was 5-4 during a meet in Lambert.
“I’m excited,” Granbois said of winning her firstplace medal. Makena Hauge, a sophomore, cleared 4-10 for third place in the high jump.
Also competing for Culbertson at the meet were Megan Granbois in the high jump, Autumn Bergum in the 100 and Kobe Nickoloff in the javelin.
Froid/Lake’s Javonne Nesbit accounted for the Red Hawks’ best performance.
Nesbit had a best of 39-02 for fourth place in the triple jump.
Other Red Hawks participating at the meet included Mason Dethman in the 100 and Carolyne Christoffersen in the shot put.
Bainville’s Kaden Hansen recorded a personal best of 42-3 in the shot put.
Also putting in good efforts for the Bulldogs were Samuel Butikofer in the high jump and Emma Poser in the 3200.
