Culbertson Earns Fourth At Meet
Culbertson took fourth place in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions during the Fairview Invitational held on Friday, May 7.
Richey/Lambert boys earned first at the track meet with 131 points followed by Plentywood with 125 and Fairview with 87 points. The Cowboys took fourth with 57 points.
In the girls’ standings, Fairview topped the field with 90 points followed by Plentywood with 84 and Savage with 78. The Cowgirls finished fourth with 66 points.
Kobe Nickoloff led the Cowboys with a second in the long jump (19-02), third in the 200 (24.81), third in the javelin (134-04), fourth in the 100 (12.10) and sixth in the discus (126-11).
James Kirkaldie finished third in the 1600 at 5:31.10. Carson Solem earned third in the 3200 at 17:04.01.
The 1600-meter relay team featuring Colby Olson, Kirkaldie, Wyatt Snyder and Payton Perkins placed third at 4:02.09. The 400-meter relay team consisting of Snyder, Nickoloff, Kyler Kempton and Perkins took fourth at 48.34 seconds.
Justice Bengochea earned fourth in the shot put with a mark of 40-06. Snyder finished fourth in the 200 at 25.19 seconds. Olson took sixth in the high jump by clearing 5-2.
The Cowgirls scored two first-place showings at the meet. Kayli Olson finished first in the 3200 at 14:07.88. Abbey Granbois cleared 5-0 for top honors in the high jump.
Granbois, a senior, placed second in the long jump with a best of 16-03.
Autumn Bergum took second in the triple jump with a mark of 30-01. The junior placed fifth in the long jump at 14-11.
Makena Hauge cleared 4-10 for third place and Megan Granbois cleared 4-8 for fifth place in the high jump.
Taking fifth were Olson with a time of 3:07.68 in the 800 and Kenadee Kempton with a time of 21.03 in the

Hauge placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 1404. Destiny Thompson took sixth in the javelin at 78-03.
The 400-meter relay team consisting of Bergum, Haugen, M. Granbois and A. Granbois finished second at 54.57 seconds.
The 1600-meter relay team featuring Kempton, Hauge, M. Granbois and Olson took third at 5:02.21.
