Red Hawks Capture Honors In Fairview
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks tallied 30 points in the boys’ division and 24 points in the girls’ division during the Fairview Invitational track meet on Friday, May 7.
Carolyne Christoffersen enjoyed an excellent meet as she improved her school record to 36-03 in the shot put for first place and took second in the javelin with a mark of 85-01. Her shot put distance qualified her for the Class C state track meet.
Missouri Kalal placed fourth in the javelin at 79-01 and sixth in the 400 at 1:21.25.
In the boys’ division, Daniel Forizs finished second in the 200 at 24.7 seconds and third in the 100 at 12.06 seconds.
Colt Miller earned third in the shot put with a best of 40-07. Colt Miller and Bode Miller tied for sixth in the javelin at 122-08.
Max Engelke finished third in the 400 with a time of 56.71 seconds.
Brett Stentoft placed sixth in the shot put at 38-04. Nate Stentoft finished sixth in the 800 at 2:27.25.
The 400-meter relay team featuring Forizs, Issac Johnson, Engelke and B. Miller finished sixth at 52.16 sec- onds.
