Young Athletes Place At Lambert Meet

Middle school and elementary athletes earn honors during a track meet in Lambert on Thursday, May 6.

Bainville’s girls took first in the junior high division with 86 points. Bainville’s girls scored nine points in the elementary division. Bainville’s boys scored nine points in junior high and 33 points in elementary.

Elsie Wilson led Bainville’s junior high girls with firsts in the 100, 200, 100-meter hurdles and high jump. Hailey Berwick finished first in the 400. She took fourth in the 200, fifth in the 100, Miah Pippenger earned first in the shot put.

Also placing for Bainville’s junior high girls were Lila Butikofer in fourth for the shot put, and Addy Hansen in fourth for the discus and shot put. The relay team of Pippenger, Lila Butikofer, Wilson and Berwick finished in first place.

Earning honors for Bainville’s elementary girls were Jodi Albus with a sixth in the 50, Johnna Ryder with a fifth in the 200 and sixth in the shot put, Azure Mahoney with a sixth in the high jump and the 400-meter relay team of Ryder, Makayla Reigler, Mahoney and Albus.

For Bainville’s junior high boys, Kaiden Holmes finished second in the 1600 and Rowan Wilson took sixth in the 800.

Brodey Triana led Bainville’s elementary boys with a first in the 50, second in the 100 and third in the shot put. Parker Berwick took sixth in the shot put and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles. and Austin Shepherd finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles. The relay team of Berwick, Shepherd, Hyrum Powell and Triana finished fifth.

Culbertson scored 68 points for junior high boys, 18 points for elementary boys, two points for junior high girls and 29 points for elementary girls.

Bridger Salvevold took first in the 100, 200 and 400 for junior high boys. Reese Moon earned first in the long jump and second in the 100. The relay team consisting of Trevor Miller, Ian Snyder, Moon and Salvevold finished first in two races.

For elementary boys, Culbertson’s Plenny Williams finished fourth in the 50 and took fourth in the discus. Charles Firemoon took fourth in the 400. Jonas York earned third in the 800.

Jade Lone Bear finished fifth in the 800 for Culbertson’s junior high girls.

In the elementary girls’ division, Trinity Pirkle earned first in the 800. Rebekah Ellekamp finished fourth in the 400 and second in the 800. Peyton Labatte earned third in the shot put. Shanna Bets His Medicine was sixth in the 800.

Placing for Froid/Lake’s boys in the junior high division was Joseph Robertson with a second in the 800, second in the 400 and a fifth in the 200. The relay team of Robert Orozco, Trent Williams, Jacob Martensen and Robertson placed fifth. For elementary boys, Froid/ Lake’s Eduardo Orozco placed third in the 200 and Rylan Young finished third in the 100-meter hurdles. Orozco placed fourth in the long jump.

For junior high girls, Vala Gregor finished sixth in the 1600 and fourth in the 800. For elementary girls, Leah Murray earned first in the 200, first in the discus, and fourth in the shot put. Keira Stentoft was fourth in the 50, Jordyn Breuer took third in the 200 and fifth in the high jump, Isabelle Nordwick was second in the high jump and sixth in the 400, and Rebecca Nelson took fifth in the 800. The relay of Breuer, Murray, Nordwick and Stentoft finished first in one race and second in another.
