Color Run Set For May 23

Culbertson Jobs For Montana Graduates teacher Mary Machart told the Community News that the JMG Color Run is set for Sunday, May 23. The event will begin at 1 p.m. The 2021 run is being held in memory of Joe Hanson, Caleb Fell and Bryan Pederson.

According to Machart, the local version of the color run began in a junior high JMG classroom when a young student lost his infant brother. She said students originally wanted to join the this Ramsey Keller Memorial Run in Billings but eventually developed their own event.

”We’re back,” said Machart. “Ready to run and have some fun? Join us as we celebrate the end of the school year-as well as the lives of three former students.”

Registration for the events starts at 12:30 p.m. Runners are asked to gather at the Roosevelt County fairgrounds in Culbertson. The run is scheduled for 1 p.m.
