Red Hawks Earn Point At 2C Meet
Froid/Lake placed seventh in the boys’ standings with 20 points and tied for eighth in the girls’ standings with 11 points during the District 2C track meet in Lambert on Tuesday, May 11.
Carolyne Christoffersen had a strong meet for the Red Hawks as the sophomore placed second in the shot put at 36-5, fifth in the javelin at 87-06 and sixth in the discus at 77-06.
The girls’ 400-meter relay team of Christoffersen, Emma Barrick, Makaylee Elvsaas and Missouri Kalal finished in eighth place at 1:04.20.
Kalal placed seventh in the shot put at 29-08. Barrick took seventh in the discus at 76-02. Elvsaas was seventh in the javelin at 81-0.
On the boys’ side, Javonne Nesbit placed third in the triple jump with a best of 37-0. Mason Dethman took seventh at 35-09.
Daniel Forizs finished third in the 200 at 24.94 seconds. Max Engelke took fourth in the 400 at 56.72 seconds.
Bode Miller placed fifth in the javelin at 129-03. Colt Miller earned seventh in the shot put at 39-06. Issac Johnson finished seventh in the 100 at 12.79 and Forizs was eighth in the 100 at 12.86.
The 400-meter relay team of Johnson, Forizs, Nesbit and B. Miller finished sixth at 48.36. The 1600-meter relay team of Nate Stentoft, Brett Stentoft, Forizs and Engelke took sixth at 3:59.89.
