Area Golfers Compete At State Tourney
Golfers from Roosevelt County competed at the Class C state golf meet last week.
Culbertson’s Makena Hauge placed 28th with a two-day score of 232. The sophomore shot 116 each day of the tournament.
Plentywood’s freshman Paityn Curtiss earned state championship honors with a score of 171.
Manhattan Christian’s girls won the title title with a 576 while Plentywood placed second at 599 and Harlowton took third with a 612.
In the boys’ division, Bainville’s Braeden Romo shot a 208 for 38th place. Culbertson’s Colter Romo carded a 216 for 49th place.
Scores for Froid/Lake’s boys included Ashdyn Hobbs with a 211 for 44th place, Walker Ator with a 221 for 54th place and Issac Johnson with a 222 for 55th place.
Caidin Hill of Manhattan Christian was the individual champion with a 146. Mon-Dak’s Kale Peterson placed third with a 154.
Manhattan Christian topped the team standings with a 460. MonDak placed second with a 533 and Albertson/ Superior took third with a 547.
