Culbertson Woman Faces Additional Charges

Mada Lyn Bergie of Culbertson is facing additional charges in district court.

Bergie was charged in April for two counts of assault with a weapon and a misdemeanor partner or family member assault count.

On May 12, she was charged with intimidation, a felony, and the misdemeanor charges of destruction of a communications device and criminal mischief.

She was scheduled to appear Tuesday, May 25.

According to court documents, Bergie made a threat to cause physical harm on April 23. She is also charged with damaging a phone so a person couldn’t call law enforcement and with stabbing the tires of a vehicle.

One of the assault charges involves her allegedly hitting her husband with a baseball bat in March. The other assault charge involves her allegedly hitting her husband on the head with an unknown object, possibly an ax handle, on a later day in March.
