Culbertson’s Abbey Granbois put together a strong effort at the Class C state track meet held in Missoula.

Granbois, a senior, cleared 5-3 to earn second place in the high jump. Saco’s Teagan Erickson cleared 5-4 to win the state title.

Highlighting the meet for the Froid/Lake Red Hawks was Carolyne Christoffersen. The sophomore had a mark of 35-05 for fifth place in the shot put.

Best performances for Bainville came from senior Kaden Hansen with an eighth in the shot put and a ninth in the discus.

The top three teams in the boys’ division were Fort Benton with 74 points, Belt with 45 and Richey/Lambert with 41.

In the girls’ division, the top teams were Seeley-Swan with 72, Hinsdale with 42, Plentywood with 37 and Fort Benton with 37. Savage placed sixth with 33 points.

Earning individual titles from District 2C were Savage’s Brooke Reuter in the 100 and 200, Circle’s Hayden Lockie in the 800, Richey/ Lambert’s Samuel Smith in the 1600 and 3200, Plentywood’s Cameron Brusven in the javelin, Plentywood’s Annie Kaul in the 3200, Fairview’s Jadyn Gackle in the shot put and Fairview’s Teigan Taylor in the pole vault.

Other District 2C athletes placing included Lockie in third for the 400, Smith in second for the 800, Richey/ Lambert’s Caleb Senner in third for the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, Fairview’s boys’ 400-meter relay team in fifth, Fairview’s Paul Hardy in second for the discus, Fairview’s Hunter Sharbono in sixth for the discus, Savage’s Sloan McPherson in fourth for the javelin, Richey/Lambert’s Tiegen Cundiff in sixth for the javelin, Plentywood’s Mason Chandler in third for the pole vault, Plentywood’s Cameron Brusven in second for the long jump, MonDak’s Elizabeth Field in sixth for the 200, fifth in the 800 and fifth for the 400, Reuter in second for the 400 and fourth for the triple jump, Kaul in third for the 1600, third in the pole vault and third for the 100-meter hurdles, Circle’s Grace Gackle in fourth for the 300-meter hurdles, Richey/ Lambert’s girls’ 400-meter relay team in sixth, Savage’s girls’ 1600-meter relay team in sixth, Plentywood’s Emma Brensdal in fourth for the shot put, Fairview’s Scout Hopes in sixth for the shot put, Fairview’s Gackle in second for the discus, Circle’s Ryann Moline in fourth for the discus and Plentywood’s Audrey Sampson in third for the high jump,
