Bulls Lose To Flyers, Glendive Teams
The Post 49 Bulls battled against the 406 Flyers and Glendive in recent American Legion baseball action.
The Bulls lost the first game against the Flyers by a 16-0 final.
In the second game, the Bulls fell by a 9-1 margin. The Bulls scored their only run in the top of the first inning when Zander Dean singled and scored.
The Flyers scored three runs in the first, two runs in the second and one in the third.
Glendive outscored the Bulls by a 16-5 margin in the first game of a double-header. The Bulls tallied three runs in the first and two more runs in the third.
Payton Hauge led the Bulls with two hits including a double. He had three runs batted in.
Scoring runs were Dylan Tabbert, Walker Ator, Issac Johnson and Colter Oie.
Tabbert and Ator pitched for the Bulls.
Glendive scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to edge the Bulls, 9-8, in the second game.
Down by a 5-2 lead, the Bulls struck for five runs in the top of the sixth to move ahead.
Johnson led the Bulls with three hits while Dean added two hits.
Having two runs batted in each were Dean and Oie.
Johnson scored three times in the contest and Ator added two runs.
Johnson pitched the first four innings of the contest.
The Bulls will travel to Miles City on Friday, June 11, and to Laurel on Saturday, June 12. The Bulls will host Wolf Point in Froid on Tuesday, June 15, for a conference contest.
