The Post #49 Bulls had their hands full going against two strong American Legion baseball teams during the weekend.

The Bulls fell to the Miles City Mavericks by scores of 10-0 and 20-9 on Friday, June 11.

In the first game, Miles City broke from a deadlock of 0-0 with six runs in the third, two in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Kieran Hernandez, Parker Sinks and Issac Johnson pitched for the Bulls.

The Bulls were held without a hit against the the pitching of Polesky.

In the second game, Miles City tallied 11 runs in the first inning and nine in the second frame for a 20-0 victory.

The Bulls gained a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Easton Tommerup scored on a sacrifice fly by Colter Oie.

The Bulls scored two runs in the top of the fourth and six more runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Tommerup scored three runs and Hernandez scored twice in the contest.

Having three hits each were Johnson and Braeden Romo. Johnson knocked in three runs.

The Bulls lost at Laurel by margins to 17-5 and 18-9 on Saturday, June 12.

Laurel led by only a 5-4 margin in the first contest before breaking away with 12 runs in the fourth inning.

A highlight for the Bulls was jumping out to a 3-1 lead in the top of the first. Payton Hauge belted a two-run homer and Oie doubled in the frame. Justice Bengochea scored in the top of the second for a 4-1 advantage.

The Bulls’ final run came in the top of the fifth when Johnson scored on a single by Hauge.

Having two hits each for the Bulls were Hauge and Johnson. Hauge finished with three runs batted in.

In the second game, Laurel scored nine runs in the third en route to an 18-9 victory.

The Bulls took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first when Johnson, Hauge and Oie crossed the plate.

Johnson scored on a passed ball for the Bulls in the top of the third. The Bulls accounted for five runs in the fifth. Hernandez connected for a double in the fifth.

Having two hits each for the Bulls were Romo and Hauge. Johnson scored three times. Hauge and Oie each had two runs. Walker Ator and Romo knocked in three runs each.

The Bulls will host the Billings Cardinals starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, and Laurel starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
