A number of her family members also work in the medical field including her sister and daughter who are both technologists and her son who is a paramedic and military veteran.

Dollarhide grew up in Rygate and together with her husband has four grown children and four great grandchildren. She replaces Lisa Rutledge, the previous supervisor, who left the area to become a traveling technologist.
