Pound Puppies Has Adoptable Pets
Wolf Point Pound Puppies volunteer Tina Bets His Medicine told the Northern Plains Independent at press time that the organization has three animals — one kitten and two dogs — available for adoption by responsible individuals and families.
According to the Pound Puppies website, Pepper is a 1½-year-old spayed female terrier/heeler mix and she’s ready for her forever home. She’s up to date on all vaccinations and gets along with other dogs. She will chase cats if they run. Pepper is great with children and knows basic commands and hand signals.
Roxi is a three-monthold pup. She is a very sweet spayed female and is up to date on vaccinations. Roxi had to have one of her eyes removed, but it doesn’t slow her down at all. She loves to play and gets along well with children, dogs and cats.
McKee is a neutered male two-month-old kitten.
There is also at least one other dog on the way to adoptability, according to Bets His Medicince. An emaciated pup called Jeorgie is currently recovering from mange and pneumonia.
“He’s recovering slowly,” said Bets His Medicine. “He’ll need some more recovery time.”
Pound Puppies is hosting a spay and neuter clinic July 24-25 at 420 Cascade St. The list was full at press time, but interested parties stay tuned as no-shows are common. Fees are $50 for cats and $100 for dogs. The price includes all vaccinations, de-wormer and flea/tick treatment. The group also takes care of some minor medical issues like ear mites and small wounds.
Pound Puppies was started to rescue local dogs from the Wolf Point area. Their mission is get animals out of the pound and into a “furever home.”
To sign up for the clinic, text BetsHisMedicine at 406650-2177. You must get an answer before you’re on the list, so don’t assume you have a spot. Participants will receive a time and date to drop off animals.
Sponsors are needed as always. Pound Puppies tries to find sponsors for those unable to pay.
