Bainville School’s New Superintendent On The Job
Darin Hannum is feeling at home as the new superintendent of schools in Bainville.
“It’s going very well,” Hannum said of his new position. “It’s a very welcoming and inviting community.”
Before coming to Bainville, he served as superintendent in Chinook for six years. His experience also includes being a principal and superintendent in Box Elder.
Hannum is pleased to report that all teaching positions are full in Bainville. The only open coaching position is for assistant boys’ basketball.
“It’s been pretty quiet,” Hannum said. “We’re just getting everything ready and preparing our budget for this year.”
He officially started his duties in Bainville on July 1, but he and his wife, Melissa, moved into the community during mid-June.
He explains that he has been in contact with former superintendent Renee Rasmussen since January. “She gave me good training and heads-up of everything that was going on,” Hannum said.
