Flyers Outscore Bulls By Two Runs
The Post #49 Bulls fell short in a 15-13 slugfest against the 406 Flyers in American Legion baseball action on Wednesday, July 7.
The Flyers scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning for the final margin.
Post #49 gained a 10-5 lead during the first four innings of action, but the Flyers responded with four runs in the fifth and another four runs in the sixth inning.
The Bulls accounted for 15 hits in the contest. Leading the attack were Issac Johnson, Colter Oie and Zander Dean with three hits each. Braeden Romo added two singles. Johnson had two doubles in the game.
Oie and Dean led the team with three runs each. Scoring two runs each were Walker Ator, Johnson and Parker Sinks.
Romo drove in three runs. Dylan Tabbert, Johnson and Dean each drove in two runs.
The Flyers won the second game of the double-header by a 17-3 final. The Flyers scored eight of their runs in the top of the sixth.
With the game even at 1-1, the Flyers went ahead to stay with five runs in the top of the third.
The Bulls finished with eight hits. Having two hits each were Payton Hauge and Dylan Tabbert. Hauge connected for a triple.
Scoring the Bulls’ three runs were Hauge, Ator and Johnson. Hauge accounted for a run batted in.
