The future of rodeo showed their ability during a stick horse rodeo held outside of Faith Home on Saturday, July 10.

Miss Rodeo Montana Katie Lynn Kraus taught the young children how to barrel race with a stick horse as well as trying their hand on roping. Miss Wild Horse Stampede Tiara Whitmus and Miss Teen Rodeo Wild Horse Stampede Samantha Reed assisted instructing the kids.

Such events are one of Kraus’ favorite things to conduct in her role as Miss Rodeo Montana.

“Every rodeo I go to can have a kids’ rodeo,” she said. She added almost every rodeo is excited to have the opportunity to have a kids’ rodeo.

Although temperatures were high, everyone still appeared to be having a great time.

“This is so much fun working with the kids,” Kraus said.

She thought it was ideal to have the activity at Faith Home as the facility’s residents could view the excitement.

“We visited here on Thursday and talked with the residents,” Kraus said. “It’s been a lot of fun being in Wolf Point.”
