During a final budget hearing, an additional $5,600 was approved for new meter reading technology needed to avoid a full system replacement in the near future. The cost for the upgrade will be approximately $26,000.
A work order for WWC Engineering related to the Montana Department of Transportation’s Highway 2 project portion in Culbertson. The amount approved was $47,500 for engineering services related to the project. WWC’s Jeremy Fadness told the council that the timeline for the project has been moved up to a start of date of Spring 2022 with a completion date of early 2023.
A request from Dry Red was partially approved by the council. Funds for an appraisal of the town’s old water treatment plant was approved at approximately $1,000. A request to have the engineering specs for use assessed at coast of $9,500 was not approved.
Minutes were approved for the July 12 meetings, as were treasurer’s reports, journal vouchers, billing vouchers and bills.
The next council meeting is set for Monday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
