Red Hawks Run To 59-13 Victory

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks exploded for 51 first-half points and earned a 59-13 road win over Harlowton/ Ryegate on Saturday, Sept. 4.

Coach Michael Reiter said the Red Hawks ran the ball very well in the non-conference contest.

Austen Hobbs accounted for two touchdown runs. Brett Stentoft and Nate Stentoft each added rushing touchdowns.

Mason Dethman threw for three touchdown passes. Javonne Nesbit caught two touchdown receptions and B. Stentoft had the other touchdown catch.

Ashdyn Hobbs returned a kickoff 68 yards for the team’s other touchdown.

Ashdyn Hobbs led the Red Hawks with 80 yards rushing.

Defensive leaders included Ashdyn Hobbs with seven tackles and two forced fumbles. Nesbit intercepted a pass.

Froid/Lake will host Power/ Dutton/Brady at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11. Kickoff is 1 p.m.

Power/Dutton/Brady is 2-0 for the season.

“They’re tough,” Reiter said. “They like to throw the ball a lot.”
