Lustre Loses Match To Wolf Point JVs
Wolf Point’s JVs edged Lustre Christian by a final of 2514, 25-13, 25-17, on the volleyball court Tuesday, Sept. 14.
Lustre gained an 8-7 lead on an ace by Alexa Reddig in the first set, but Wolf Point pulled away to 20-8 on the strong serving of Mahala MacDonald.
The Lions battled back to 20-13 with an ace and hit by Aubri Holzrichter leading the way. After a kill by Grace Brown pulled Lustre to 23-14, Wolf Point ended the set on a tip by MacDonald and an ace by Trinniti Garrett.
Wolf Point gained a 17-11 lead in the second set until Reddig served an ace.
The Wolves tallied the next six points including two aces by Azalei Ackerman. The set ended on a kill by Garrett.
Lustre trailed by only a 1211 margin in the third set until Wolf Point struck for seven straight points on the strong serving of Miracle Welch. Ahead 23-17, the Wolves ended the match on a kill by Kee- ley Blount-Henderson and an ace by Tatum Kent.
