The Wolf Point Wolves put together another impressive showing at the Glasgow Invitational cross country meet held in Fort Peck on Saturday, Sept. 18.

Wolf Point’s runners placed second in the team standings with 49 points right behind Glasgow’s 48 points.

Peyton Summers led the Wolves with a school record time of 16:55.51. The time broke Zander Ackerman’s mark of 16:57.

“I didn’t feel tired until the last 200 meters,” Summers said. “I felt good the whole time.”

He believes he has the second best time in the state after the performance.

Ruffing

Wolf Point’s Kholby Spotted Wolf finished second at 17:23.50. Ethan Blount of Wolf Point took third at 17:42.64. They were both personal best times.

Kelby Bauer placed 21st with a time of 19:36.40. Rebel Mays earned 28th at 20:27.12.

In the girls’ division, the top three teams were Miles City, Poplar and Glasgow.

Wolf Point’s Piper Ruffing finished 22nd with a time of 24:56.53.

Hamyanie Campbell placed 25th at 25:19.71.

The Wolves will run in Frazer on Thursday, Sept. 23, and then Lockwood Seven- on-Seven meet on Saturday, Sept. 25.
