Wolf Point got off to a slow start and lost by a 50-15 final during Class B football action in Cut Bank on Friday, Oct. 1.

Cut Bank scored on its first possession of the conference game. After Wolf Point fumbled the ball, Cut Bank added another quick touchdown.

Cut Bank led by a 41-0 halftime margin.

“It was their homecoming and they played tough,” Wolf Point Coach Anthony Red Cloud said.

Wolf Point got on the scoreboard on its opening drive of the third quarter. Long runs by Mason Garfield and Charlie Page advanced Wolf Point deep into Cut Bank territory. Page scored on a five-yard run. Juliun Benson ran in the conversion to cut the margin to 41-8.

Wolf Point’s second touchdown came on a 34-yard pass play from Benson to Kraven Silk in the fourth quarter. Benson kicked the conversion.

“Defensively, everybody went hard,” Red Cloud said. “They just outran us a lot of the time.”

Wolf Point will travel to Fairfield on Friday, Oct. 8.
