Area Runners Prepare For State Meet
The Culbertson/Bainville cross-country team is preparing to compete at the Class C state meet in Missoula on Saturday, Oct. 23.
The program’s girls rank second in the Class C state standings behind only Manhattan Christian. Plentywood ranks third in the state standings.
Kayli Olson ranks 21st in the individual standings and teammate Emma Poser ranks 22nd in the standings. Autumn Bergum ranks 42nd.
The top three individuals ranked include Lindsey Paulson of Belt/Centerville, Annie Kaul of Plentywood and Mya Green of Scobey.
The Culbertson/Bainville boys rank sixth in the team standings. Topping the list are Manhattan Christian, Belt/Centerville and Ennis.
The Culbertson/Bainville girls finished in third place during the cross country meet held in Plentywood on Saturday, Oct. 16.
Plentywood and MonDak topped the team standings with 25 points each. The Cowgirls finished with 26 points. Plentytwood’s Annie Kaul ran the course in 19:38.86 for first-place honors.
Leading Culbertson/Bainville was Emma Poser with a time of 22:29.29 for seventh place. Kayli Olson finished in 10th at 22:34.43.
Autumn Bergum finished in 15th place at 25:04.51. Megan Granbois earned 20th with a time of 26:14.71.
The Culbertson/Bainville boys earned fourth place with 32 points. Richey/Lambert took top honors with nine points.
Matthew Ellerton of Richey/Lambert finished first overall with a time of 18:48.55.
Drae Nelson of Culbertson/ Bainville earned 11th place at 20:58.60.
Nyreece Halvorson placed 13th at 21:13.16. Wyatt Snyder placed 14th at 21:20.81.
Dawson Bergum finished 19th at 22:11.96. Isaiah Bighorn was 25th at 23:19.66. Maurice Bighorn took 27th at 24:46.71.
Brockton’s Quannah First That Walks placed 30th with a time of 25:56.23.
