Bainville Council Talks Public Works Requests
The Bainville Town Council held its regular meeting Monday, Oct. 11.
Clerk Nikki Rogers stated that ballots were mailed Oct. 18 for the municipal election.
A nuisance complaint was received regarding area dogs and a new rooster.
During the public works report, the council reviewed Gracie’s plan for a low-pressure sanitary sewer service connection to the town’s sanitary sewer forcemain. Language on the plan indicated the contractor will determine the size of the pipe. Public works has been building weirs in the lagoon to assure water flow to all cells.
Public works director Lyle Lambert requested the following equipment: a broom, which the council members were not in favor of purchasing, a snow blower and a lift.
The court report contained one citation for September.
Rogers said the last meeting of the local emergency planning committee meeting was held in Poplar Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.
Rogers gave the council a copy of the Annual Financial Report for fiscal year 2020. She is currently working on 2021 Rogers attended the Montana League of Cities and Towns conference virtually. She said the conference was very informative.
Claims with checks dated Oct. 11 in the amount of $23,134.20 were approved, as were JV, UB vouchers and payroll slips. Delinquent accounts were reviewed.
