Greetings, this is Robert 'Bobby' Welch. I was born and raised on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, I lived my entire life here at home in Wolf Point, Montana. I left home to serve in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and later left home to pursue and further my BIA Law Enforcement career. I begin serving here at Fort Peck (my home) from patrol officer to Chief of Police/BIA Captain of Police, transferred to Blackfeet Nation as BIA Captain BIA Criminal Investigator, then to the Northern Cheyenne Nation as a BIA Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Special Officer), then once again transferred to the Rocky Boy Nation as BIA Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Special Officer) then retired and return home to become a Fort Peck Tribal Judge for another six and a half (6½ years) after leaving home for eleven (11) years. I served on the Fort Tribal Executive Board for Twelve (12) years, it was one of my most honorable positions i held representing the people of Honorable Fort Peck Tribes. I personally dedicated approximately forty- eight (48) years to the Criminal Justice Field.
If elected, I will once again dedicate my time for the greater good of our people and our homelands (Fort Peck Indian Reservation).
I live the traditional and spiritual ways of our Assiniboine and Lakota people's way of Life.
