Cowboys Voted All-State
Five Culbertson football players have been voted to the Class C All-State eightman football team.
Selected for the Cowboys were senior Kyler Kempton, senior Aiden Perkins, junior Kobe Nickoloff, junior Colin Avance and senior James Kirkaldie.
Also voted All-State from the Eastern C were Scobey’s Colter Oie, Plentywood’s Reese Wirtz, Plentywood’s Cameron Brusven, Fairview’s Hunter Sharbono, Scobey’s Josh Hammerly, Ekalaka’s Turner Tooke, Fairview’s Kanyon Taylor, MonDak’s Erik Field and Circle’s Beau Beery.
Culbertson’s players named to the All-Conference first team on offense included Kempton at running back, Perkins at center, Avance at guard and Kirkaldie at end.
Selected to the first team on defense for the Cowboys were Kempton at linebacker, Perkins as lineman and Nickoloff at back.
Earning second-team honors on offense were Nickoloff at running back, and senior Zack O’Neill at guard.
Voted second team on defense from Culbertson were junior Justice Bengochea at linebacker, Avance as lineman and Kirkaldie at back.
Selected from Culbertson to play in the Cleverley All-Star Game were Kempton, Perkins and Kirkaldie. O’Neill is an alternate for the game.
