Legion Elects Purvis, Kessner

Thomas Mann Post 81 of the American Legion hosted their Turkey Bingo fundraiser Nov. 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the legion hall in Culbertson. Pete Olson told the Community News that the event grossed $800.

Olson said legion members are mourning the loss of former post commender David Dean, who died Nov. 6. A memorial service will be held at the legion hall Nov. 19.

Peggy Purvis was elected to fill the role of post commander at a meeting Nov. 14 prior to the fundraiser. Rick Kessner was elected vice commander.
