Food Sovereignty Day Set For Dec. 2

The Fort Peck Tribes will have its Food Sovereignty Day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, in the Greet the Dawn Auditorium at the Fort Peck Community College in Poplar.

The day will feature the documentary film, “Gather,” which depicts the growing movement amongst Native Americans to reclaim identity through food.

Lunch and dinner will be served. The day will include art vendors, speakers, traditional food demonstrations and door prizes.
