Frazer’s Girls’ Squad Features New Coach This Basketball Season

With a positive attitude, Frazer’s girls’ basketball squad is looking for success this season.

New head coach Cody Larson said the Bearcubs return starters Shakira Beston and Bailey Beston.

“It’s kind of a junior and sophomore laden team,” Larson said.

The Bearcubs have a good turnout of 13 players, but several of the girls missed some early practices due to COVID guidelines.

“We are going to focus a ton on defense,” Larson said. “We’re getting after it during practices.”

Teams to beat in the league are expected to include North Country and Scobey.

“I think we can be a pretty darn good team,” Larson said. “We have some talent here. I think we will be all right.”

The Bearcubs will have two games at a showcase tournament in Glasgow to open the season. Frazer faces Terry on Friday, Dec. 3, and Turner on Saturday, Dec. 4.
