Red Hawks Look Forward To Strong Seasons
With large amounts of returning players, both Froid/ Lake’s boys’ and girls’ basketball squads are anticipated to be near the top of the District 2C standings this season.
Froid/Lake’s boys earned second place at the Eastern C divisional tournament last season. The Red Hawks went on to win a game at the Class C state tournament.
Players back who earned All-Conference honors include senior Javonne Nesbit, senior Bode Miller and sophomore Mason Dethman. Nesbit and Dethman each also received All-State recognition.
Tyler Wivholm, a sharp-shooting senior, was a second team All-Conference pick and a first team all-defensive selection.
Brent Stentoft and Ashdyn Hobbs were among the other top players for the Red Hawks last season.
Froid/Lake’s girls also look for another solid campaign.
Dasani Nesbit and Carolyne Christoffersen were each All-Conference selections for the Red Hawks last year.
Baylee Davidson was a second team All-Conference player last season.
Meg Ator is also a returning starter for the Red Hawks. Other players with decent amount of varsity experience include sophomore Jaeleigh Davidson and freshman Mara Salvevold.
The Red Hawks will host MonDak on Friday, Dec. 3, and then travel to Bainville on Saturday, Dec. 4.
