Froid/Lake Girls Fight Off Bainville In District 2C Play

A big second half led Froid/Lake over Bainville, 4231, in girls’ basketball action on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Trailing by a 16-11 halftime margin, the Red Hawks struck for 17 points in the third quarter to grab a 2823 advantage. Dasani Nesbit scored eight and Carolyne Christoffersen added six points in the period.

Froid/Lake accounted for 14 points in the fourth quarter for the 42-31 victory. Christoffersen scored seven.

Leading the Red Hawks were Nesbit with 16 and Christoffersen with 15 points. Also scoring were Baylee Davidson with four, Mara Salvevold with four, Alexa Nelson with two and Jaeleigh Davidson with one.

Elsie Wilson accounted for 22 of Bainville’s points. Also scoring were Kaitlyn Adkins with five, Lakyn Rabbe with two and Kaelyn Romo with two.

Wilson scored 10 points in the first quarter to lead the Bulldogs to a 10-6 advantage.

The Bulldogs will travel to Plentywood on Thursday, Dec. 9. Froid/Lake plays at the Shelby Tournament this weekend.
