Red Hawks Defeat Shelby Boys

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks knocked off Class B Shelby, 63-57, during boys’ basketball action in Shelby on Friday, Dec. 10.

Froid/Lake accounted for 19 points in the second quarter to gain a 30-19 half-time advantage. Brett Stentoft scored seven points in the quarter. The Red Hawks held a 42-37 lead after three quarters of play.

Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Javonne Nesbit with 18, Tyler Wivholm with 16 and Stentoft with 15 points.

Mason Dethman and Patton Bighorn added six points each. Nate Stentoft scored two points.

Leading Shelby were Rhett Reynolds with 24 and Trenton Smelson with 19 points.
