Bulldogs Earn Win Over Cowboys

The Bainville Bulldogs accounted for 23 points in the second quarter and captured a 71-45 home victory over Culbertson on Friday, Dec. 17.

Bainville led by only a 14-10 margin at the end of the first period and then increased its lead to 37-19 at the half.

The Bulldogs struck for 19 more points in the third quarter for a 56-30 advantage.

Jesse Strickland scored 26 points to lead the Bulldogs. Braeden Romo scored 19 and Alex Strickland added 13.

“Jesse was able to find his way to the rim on all of his two-point field goals,” Bainville Coach Jess Romo said.

Also scoring were Ayden Knudsen with nine, Kaige Bratcher with three and Reid Anderson with one point.

Romo finished with 15 rebounds.

Colin Avance scored 17 points to lead the Cowboys.

Rounding out the scoring were Payton Perkins with eight, Isaiah Bighorn with six, Maurice Bighorn with six, James Kirkaldie with six and Bridger Salvevold with two.
